Post-COP Sharing Workshop 6 January 2012

Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) on behalf of Climate Change Network Nepal (CCNN) with support from the European Union, Oxfam GB Nepal and ISET-Nepal organized a “Post-COP sharing workshop” on 6 January 2012 at Hotel Everest, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. The workshop highlighted on the outcomes and update from 17th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.  The COP 17 was held on November 28 –December 9, 2011 in Durban, South Africa. The conference agreed to setup the “Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action” (AWG-DPEA) along with other major decisions.

There was a group discussion on possible strategy for Nepal’s strong representation in future meetings, the status of the UNFCCC negotiation and development of the COP 17.
